I’ve been doing large scale log analysis and research for the last seven years. I’m currently at LogLogic, Inc., as the Data Architect in the LogLabs group. The Data Architect is responsible for ground-up analysis and research as well as contributing the company’s understanding of logging.
Previously, I was at what is now BT/Counterpane Internet Security. A company providing real-time security monitoring through log capture and analysis. For most of my time there, I ran the group responsible for end-to-end product support integration and analysis.
Prior to CIS I’ve touched on most aspects of security and operations. Network engineering, corporate network security, systems administration, heartbeat services operations (corporate and internet name services, email, web services, security, and network resource management,) and business partner security and networking.
